Courtney Fawcett began his career in finance at Shearson Lehman Brothers over 20 years ago. Gaining progressively more responsibilities (including at the C-level) in business leadership, operations and financial performance in both early stage and growth companies, he has in depth industry experience in education, healthcare, private equity and technology sectors; leading financial analysis, investment strategies, M&A, operations, restructurings and turnarounds of portfolio companies.
From 2011 to 2013, he was CFO of a leading innovator in the healthcare services industry. While serving as CFO he reduced operating expenses by over 20%, improved existing processes and implemented new accounting policies and controls, while preparing the company for a successful acquisition.
Mr. Fawcett was part of the team that worked on the transaction to sell Health Dialog to BUPA in 2008, a transaction that achieved a 39x EBITDA value. Prior to the sale he was responsible for managing financial operations of the IT and Project Management Office departments, overseeing combined budget in excess of $80 million.
Prior to joining Health Dialog in 2004, Mr. Fawcett assumed leadership corporate finance and M&A roles in several portfolio companies. He led several acquisitions in the education space and the sale of Tutor Time Learning Systems.
Mr. Fawcett is multilingual and has worked in Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Nepal. He graduated from
Brown University in 1991 where he studied Business Economics and Physics.
